Emily Peniche is the ex-girlfriend of Los Angeles Lakers forward Josh Powell who is also the mother of his daughter Patience. Peniche and Powell were involved in a very public custody battle last summer with Emily resorting to Youtube (video below) to ask for her daughter back. Unfortunately, seeing Patience is the least of Peniche’s concerns now.
Police in Norfolk, Va. arrested Emily and a male acquaintance for transporting a kilo of cocaine (2.2 pounds). The cops were tipped off that the duo were making a run from New Jersey to Norfolk and found the coke in a duffle bag when searching the car. I have no idea what Josh Powell does in his personal life but I doubt it’s transporting dope up and down the West Coast. Fighting to keep his daughter away from Emily’s dumbass is the best move Powell’s made on or off the court.
