While we normally cover hot female athletes or the hot wives and girlfriends of the sports world, we are always open to showing some love to other hotties, especially if they look like Adriana Lima. The super model is actually a basketball wife (no VH1), since she’s married to former NBA player Marco Jaric, but she’s here today for her recent trip into the boxing ring. Not familiar with her? There come times in sports when you have to throw your team allegiances out of the window. Olympic hockey and basketball come to mind, as do all-star games. Now we can add supermodels to the club. More specifically, supermodels wearing team attire. Like the lovely Chanel Iman.
Victoria Secret launched a line of MLB clothing aimed at their target audience called Victoria’s Secret Pink. Wilson and VS model Iman teamed up for a special promotion in the Dallas area. Who could be mad at that?

Royce Reed, the mother of Dwight Howard’s son, is a favorite of ours here at Hotties. She became popular after her booty shaking dance at an Ochocinco-TO pool party in Miami and gained more recognition as the most hated on member of VH1′s “Basketball Wives.”
A 2009 gag order was supposed to stop Royce from speaking Dwight’s name in public. Howard hit her with a $500 million lawsuit in 2010 for violating the order and he’s now taken the case to California to collect his money. From the LA Times:
The Orlando Magic center claims Reed owes him $551,606.74, including interest, from a defamation judgment he won last year after several months of court battles. The $500,000 Reed was ordered to pay Howard for violating a court order that prohibited her from talking about him in the media still hasn’t been paid out. So now Howard is changing it up, taking her to court in California..
Something tells me Howard would be better off using Sports Picks Buffet review or the trusty Sports handicapper reviews to collect $500 million than waiting for Royce Reed to come up with that kind of cash. Unless shaking your ass in public pays a lot better than I’m aware of.

Dwight Howard goes after Royce Reed in California court to collect on Florida defamation judgment [LA Times]
We usually spend our time at Hotties in Cleats “discussing” the physical attributes of the lovely women in and around sports. There’s really nothing better than that. But today we thought we should mention the Los Angeles Dodgers. This isn’t about MLB picks. It’s about the state of the team.
We have no connection or rooting interest in the Dodgers but as with the Yankees, Lakers, Notre Dame football and Duke basketball, sports are better when the Dodgers are good. Even if it’s just because people like to root against them.
Los Angeles is the second most storied franchise in the National League behind the St. Louis Cardinals. Some would say they’re number one because of Branch Rickey and Jackie Robinson. But Frank McCourt and the beating of a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium have put a California-sized dark cloud over the blue skies at Chavez Ravine.
Major League Baseball took over the day-to-day operations of the Dodgers from the McCourts (Frank shares the team with ex-wife Jamie) this past week so things are headed in the right direction. Of course, leaving the team in the hands of wild animals would’ve been a move in the right direction after the McCourts.
It hasn’t been all bad under Frank’s reign. The team picked up their first playoff victory of the century and made some renovations to a stadium that opened in 1962. But whatever good was done was erased by talk of McCourt spending team funds for personal matters and the embarrassing divorce proceedings between Frank and Jamie. MLB’s decision to take over the team wasn’t just a victory for Dodger’s fans, but for baseball fans everywhere. Sure, they’re not leading anybody’s MLB picks to win the world series but getting rid of the McCourts puts the team on the upswing. I think I can speak for all Dodger fans when I say thank you Jesus.
By now everybody is familiar with BYU’s decision to suspend forward Brandon Davies from their basketball team due to an honor code violation. Davies had premarital sex with his girlfriend and while they may not be a big deal in our society, it’s against the rules at Brigham Young University.
These are the bullet points of the honor code:
*Be honest
*Live a chaste and virtuous life
*Obey the law and all campus policies
*Use clean language
*Respect others
*Abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco, tea, coffee, and substance abuse
*Participate regularly in church services
*Observe the Dress and Grooming Standards
*Encourage others in their commitment to comply with the Honor Code
So it’s completely possible that Davies, or any member of BYU’s basketball team, could have been suspended for any of the above. The school deserves respect if they truly punish every violation. But it’s understandable that some would feel BYU is using Davies to champion its own cause. “Hey look at us, we’re no Jim Tressell and Ohio St. We punish our own no matter what.”
Hotties in Cleats probably isn’t the most honor code friendly site, even if there are some much worse violators a couple of exits down the digital highway. There’s no need for us to target the BYU crowd because of our content. It’s the same for Davies. He knew the deal at BYU and chose to break the code. He owned up to it but he knew the consequences he faced for his actions. I can’t feel sorry for him although it sucks for his teammates and the fans.
BYU has dropped in the NCAA Basketball Odds found at BetUS which is typically what happens when you lose your best rebounder. I didn’t think BYU could win the tourney with Davies even though anything’s possible. His loss, the school’s loss, all but kills their slim hope at the shining moment.
At long last, Super Bowl Sunday is here. It’s a significant day for football fans across the country, but specifically it’s like a national holiday for men. From the beer and great food to the funny commercials and great NFL action it’s a day men always look forward to. The only thing it’s usually missing is some Hotties showing skin. Luckily for you, we have that covered.
